Morpeth Antique Centre
Morpeth Antique Centre is like walking through history, or your great grandma’s house…there’s something of interest for everyone, young & old!
Morpeth Antique Centre offers a captivating journey through history within Campbell’s Store, a historic sandstone building located at the start of Morpeth’s main street.
Founded in 1821, Morpeth was once a thriving river port. In 1835, James Campbell built his general store, serving settlers from far and wide. Today, Campbell’s Store is home to the Morpeth Antique Centre, featuring 25 dealers with a wide range of antiques and collectibles, including jewellery, china, retro toys, and military artifacts.
Visitors can explore a charming first-floor book room, vinyl records, art glass, and the Morpeth Hat shop. The back garden area includes an old Brake Van and a ‘Man Cave’ filled with militaria and transport gear.
The former Servant’s Quarters has been transformed into a tearoom serving Devonshire Tea, big breakfasts, light lunches, and a selection of cakes and coffee. James Campbell’s 1854 tokens, found in the coin cabinet, can still be redeemed for goods at the counter.
