Gartelmann Wines
Having spent the past 25 years producing some of the Hunter Valleys finest, most awarded wines, Gartelmann Wines in Lovedale have much to be proud of.
Founded in 1996 by Jan and Jorg Gartelmann, the winery has a reputation for excellence with grapes sourced from various NSW regions. After years of successful operation and participation in the Lovedale Long Lunch, Jan and Jorg decided to retire and sell the estate.
Matt Dillow, owner of The Deck Café, has purchased the winery. He had long admired the estate and is thrilled to continue its legacy. Matt's acquisition aligns with his vision, as it complements his bustling restaurant, which offers a popular tapas menu and caters to numerous weddings and private events.
Matt plans to enhance the estate with new features, including a family-friendly coffee, juice, and gelato bar. The estate will also host various farm animals and is dog-friendly. While Matt aims to refresh the estate and expand its offerings, he assures that the quality and reputation of Gartelmann Wines will remain unchanged.
